La giribaldina

"La Giribaldina" produces quality wines in Calamandrana in the South Asti Monferrato area, one of the most beautiful hill-belts of Piedmont. The winery was established in 1995 following structural work to restore the original Giribaldi farmhouse and is now run by the Colombo family, coming from Lombardy.

The whole family is involved in running the estate: Mariagrazia Macchi, who is an active menber of the important "Donne del Vino" Association, oversees the vineyards and the cellar, Francesco Colombo is mainly respondible for the commercial side of the businnes and their son Emanuele manages the vineyards and the cellar.

Outside help is given by agronomist Piero Roseo, who also oversees the planting of new vineyards, and since 2003 enologist Beppe Caviola.
